   BearTrap Canyon Vineyards
"In the Foothills of the Angeles Forest"

Welcome to BearTrap Canyon Vineyard

BearTrap Canyon's Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard is located in the foothills of California's Angeles National Forest, at an elevation of approximately 3800 feet. The small family-owned and operated vineyard is over 15 years old and has been producing a "classic" Cabernet Sauvignon for the past 10 years.

Our crush, wine-making and cellaring take place in Santa Barbara County. After 20 to 24 months in French Oak barrels, our Bear Paw Cabernet Sauvignon can be paired with many foods.

Currently, Bear Paw vintages 2001 and 2002 are available for purchase in California.

We take great pride in our attention to detail and the classic vineyard and winery techniques that give our wine its rich fruit flavors. We hope you'll enjoy Bear Paw Cabernet Sauvignon as much as we do!

Of  Special  Note...Our 2001 & 2002** vintages were Medal Winners at:

  •  2005 Malibu Wine Classic
  •  2005 Orange County Fair Wine Competition
  •  2006 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition**
  •  2006 Orange County Fair Wine Competition**
